Article R3124-9 of the French Labour Code

Employing an employee on a part-time basis without complying with the limits in terms of the number or duration of daily work breaks provided for by article L. 3123-30 orby an extended or approved collective branch agreement or by a company or establishment agreement mentioned in article L. 3123-23, is punishable by a fifth-class fine.
Contraventions give rise to as many fines as there are employees wrongfully employed.

Le fait d’employer un salarié à temps partiel sans respecter les limites en nombre ou en durée des interruptions d’activité quotidienne prévues par l’article L. 3123-30ou par une convention ou un accord collectif de branche étendu ou agréé ou par une convention ou accord d’entreprise ou d’établissement mentionnés à l’article L. 3123-23, est puni de l’amende prévue pour les contraventions de la cinquième classe.
Les contraventions donnent lieu à autant d’amendes qu’il y a de salariés indûment employés.
