Article R322-20 of the French Code of civil enforcement procedures

An application for the amicable sale of the property may be submitted and judged before service of the summons to appear at the orientation hearing, provided that the debtor brings into question the creditors registered on the property.
The decision granting the application suspends the course of the enforcement proceedings, with the exception of the period allowed for registered creditors to declare their claims.

La demande tendant à la vente amiable de l’immeuble peut être présentée et jugée avant la signification de l’assignation à comparaître à l’audience d’orientation sous réserve pour le débiteur de mettre en cause les créanciers inscrits sur le bien.
La décision qui fait droit à la demande suspend le cours de la procédure d’exécution à l’exception du délai imparti aux créanciers inscrits pour déclarer leur créance.
