Article R322-58 of the French Code of civil enforcement procedures

The costs of prosecution and, where applicable, of any higher bids and transfer duties are paid by the successful bidder in addition to the price. Proof of this must be provided to the court clerk’s office before the expiry of a period of two months from the date of the final award, failing which the bids may be repeated.
Any stipulation to the contrary is deemed unwritten.

Les frais de poursuite et, le cas échéant, de surenchère taxés et les droits de mutation sont payés par l’adjudicataire par priorité en sus du prix. Il en est fourni justificatif au greffe avant l’expiration du délai de deux mois à compter de la date d’adjudication définitive, à peine de réitération des enchères.
Toute stipulation contraire est réputée non écrite.
