Article R335-17 of the French Intellectual Property Code

On notification of the detention, the holder of the goods is invited to inform the owner of the possibility offered to him to oppose the destruction of these goods.

The right holder is informed that the detention and, where applicable, the destruction of the goods is carried out under his responsibility.

Lors de la notification de la retenue, le détenteur des marchandises est invité à informer le propriétaire de la possibilité qui lui est offerte de s’opposer à la destruction de ces marchandises.

Le titulaire de droit est informé que la retenue et, le cas échéant, la destruction des marchandises s’effectue sous sa responsabilité.
