Article R3354-10 of the French Public Health Code

In the event of death, blood sampling and examination of the body are carried out either under the conditions provided for in article R. 3354-5, the second paragraph of article R. 3354-7, articles R. 3354-8 and R. 3354-9, or by a forensic doctor during a judicial autopsy.

The specific methods for collecting and preserving blood applicable in the event of death are laid down by order of the Minister for Health.

En cas de mort, le prélèvement de sang et l’examen du corps sont effectués soit dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 3354-5, au deuxième alinéa de l’article R. 3354-7, aux articles R. 3354-8 et R. 3354-9, soit par un médecin légiste, au cours de l’autopsie judiciaire.

Les méthodes particulières de prélèvement et de conservation du sang applicable en cas de mort sont fixées par arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé.
