Article R4127-233 of the French Public Health Code

A dental surgeon who has agreed to provide care to a patient undertakes :

1° to provide the patient with enlightened care in accordance with the latest scientific knowledge, either personally, or when his conscience requires him to do so by calling in another dental surgeon or a doctor ;

2° To always act with correctness and kindness towards the patient and to show compassion towards him;

3° Lend himself to any attempt at conciliation that may be requested of him by the President of the Departmental Council in the event of difficulties with a patient.

Le chirurgien-dentiste qui a accepté de donner des soins à un patient s’oblige :

1° A lui assurer des soins éclairés et conformes aux données acquises de la science, soit personnellement, soit lorsque sa conscience le lui commande en faisant appel à un autre chirurgien-dentiste ou à un médecin ;

2° A agir toujours avec correction et aménité envers le patient et à se montrer compatissant envers lui ;

3° A se prêter à une tentative de conciliation qui lui serait demandée par le président du conseil départemental en cas de difficultés avec un patient.
