Article R4127-24 of the French Public Health Code

Doctors are prohibited from :

– any act likely to procure for the patient an unjustified or illicit material advantage ;

– any rebate in money or in kind, any commission to any person whatsoever;

– soliciting or accepting an advantage in kind or in cash in any form whatsoever, directly or indirectly, for a prescription or any medical act whatsoever.

Sont interdits au médecin :

– tout acte de nature à procurer au patient un avantage matériel injustifié ou illicite ;

– toute ristourne en argent ou en nature, toute commission à quelque personne que ce soit ;

– la sollicitation ou l’acceptation d’un avantage en nature ou en espèces sous quelque forme que ce soit, d’une façon directe ou indirecte, pour une prescription ou un acte médical quelconque.
