Article R4127-252 of the French Public Health Code

Except in emergencies, no one may be both a dental surgeon in charge of a control mission and a treating dental surgeon for the same patient.

This prohibition extends to members of the patient’s family living with him or her.

Sauf cas d’urgence, nul ne peut être à la fois chirurgien-dentiste chargé d’une mission de contrôle et chirurgien-dentiste traitant à l’égard d’un même patient.

Cette interdiction s’étend aux membres de la famille du patient vivant avec lui.
