Article R4127-258 of the French Public Health Code

When entrusted with his mission, the expert dental surgeon must recuse himself if he considers that the questions put to him are foreign to dentistry, unless he provokes the appointment of a sapiteur.

In drafting his report, the expert dental surgeon must only reveal elements likely to provide answers to the questions asked in the decision that appointed him.

Outside these limits, the expert dental surgeon must not reveal what he may have learned in the course of his mission.

Lorsqu’il est investi de sa mission, le chirurgien-dentiste expert doit se récuser s’il estime que les questions qui lui sont posées sont étrangères à l’art dentaire, sauf à provoquer la désignation d’un sapiteur.

Dans la rédaction de son rapport, le chirurgien-dentiste expert ne doit révéler que les éléments de nature à fournir les réponses aux questions posées dans la décision qui l’a nommé.

Hors ces limites, le chirurgien-dentiste expert doit taire ce qu’il a pu apprendre à l’occasion de sa mission.
