Article R4127-267 of the French Public Health Code

The attending dental surgeon and the consultant have a duty to carefully avoid, during and following a consultation, harming each other in the minds of the patient or his family.

The consulting dental surgeon must not, except at the express request of the patient, continue the care required by the patient’s condition when such care is within the competence of the attending dental surgeon.

Le chirurgien-dentiste traitant et le consultant ont le devoir d’éviter soigneusement, au cours et à la suite d’une consultation, de se nuire mutuellement dans l’esprit du patient ou de sa famille.

Le chirurgien-dentiste consultant ne doit pas, sauf à la demande expresse du patient, poursuivre les soins exigés par l’état de ce dernier lorsque ces soins sont de la compétence du chirurgien-dentiste traitant.
