Article R4127-319 of the French Public Health Code

Midwives are prohibited from :

1° Any act likely to procure for a patient an unjustified or illicit material advantage;

2° Any rebate in money or in kind made to a patient;

3° Any commission to any person whatsoever;

4° Acceptance of a commission for any medical act whatsoever, and in particular for an examination, the prescription of medicines or appliances, or referral to a health care establishment;

5° Any clandestine payment or acceptance of money between practitioners.

Sont interdits à la sage-femme :

1° Tout acte de nature à procurer à une patiente un avantage matériel injustifié ou illicite ;

2° Toute ristourne en argent ou en nature faite à une patiente ;

3° Toute commission à quelque personne que ce soit ;

4° L’acceptation d’une commission pour un acte médical quelconque, et notamment pour un examen, la prescription de médicaments ou appareils, ou l’orientation vers un établissement de soins ;

5° Tout versement ou acceptation clandestins d’argent entre praticiens.
