Article R4127-322 of the French Public Health Code

Every midwife must refrain, even outside the practice of her profession, from any act likely to bring it into disrepute.

A midwife may only engage in another activity if such combination is compatible with professional dignity or is not prohibited by the regulations in force.

A midwife is prohibited from practising another profession which enables her to derive a profit from her prescriptions or advice of a professional nature.

Toute sage-femme doit s’abstenir, même en dehors de l’exercice de sa profession, de tout acte de nature à déconsidérer celle-ci.

Une sage-femme ne peut exercer une autre activité que si un tel cumul est compatible avec la dignité professionnelle ou n’est pas interdit par la réglementation en vigueur.

Il est interdit à la sage-femme d’exercer une autre profession qui lui permette de retirer un profit de ses prescriptions ou de conseils ayant un caractère professionnel.
