Article R4127-52 of the French Public Health Code

A doctor who has treated a person during the illness from which he or she has died may not take advantage of inter vivos or testamentary dispositions made by the latter in his or her favour during the course of this illness except in the cases and under the conditions provided for by law.

Nor may he abuse his influence to obtain a mandate or enter into a contract for valuable consideration under conditions that would be abnormally favourable to him.

Le médecin qui aura traité une personne pendant la maladie dont elle est décédée ne pourra profiter des dispositions entre vifs et testamentaires faites par celle-ci en sa faveur pendant le cours de cette maladie que dans les cas et conditions prévus par la loi.

Il ne doit pas davantage abuser de son influence pour obtenir un mandat ou contracter à titre onéreux dans des conditions qui lui seraient anormalement favorables.
