Article R4127-59 of the French Public Health Code

A doctor who is called urgently to a patient must, if the patient has to be seen again by his own doctor or another doctor, draw up a report of his intervention and prescriptions for his colleague, which he gives to the patient or sends directly to his colleague, informing the patient of this.

He must keep a copy of this report.

Le médecin appelé d’urgence auprès d’un malade doit, si celui-ci doit être revu par son médecin traitant ou un autre médecin, rédiger à l’intention de son confrère un compte rendu de son intervention et de ses prescriptions qu’il remet au malade ou adresse directement à son confrère en en informant le malade.

Il en conserve le double.
