The doctor may, with authorisation, be assisted in his practice by another doctor when the needs of public health so require, in the event of an exceptional influx of people, or when, temporarily, his state of health so warrants.

Authorisation is granted by the Departmental Council for a renewable period of three months.

If the Departmental Council remains silent for two months on the application for authorisation or renewal, this is deemed to constitute a decision of acceptance.

The doctor may also enlist the help of a medical student, under the conditions set out in article L. 4131-2 of the Public Health Code.

Le médecin peut, sur autorisation, être assisté dans son exercice par un autre médecin lorsque les besoins de la santé publique l’exigent, en cas d’afflux exceptionnel de population, ou lorsque, momentanément, son état de santé le justifie.

L’autorisation est accordée par le conseil départemental pour une durée de trois mois, renouvelable.

Le silence gardé pendant deux mois par le conseil départemental sur la demande d’autorisation ou de renouvellement vaut décision d’acceptation.

Le médecin peut également s’adjoindre le concours d’un étudiant en médecine, dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 4131-2 du code de la santé publique.
