Foreign nationals mentioned in 6° to 11° and 13° to 18° of article R. 431-16 who wish to remain in France beyond the time limits mentioned in the same article apply for a temporary residence permit or a multi-annual residence permit under the conditions set out in 1° of article R. 431-5.
They must also prove that they have fulfilled the formalities laid down in article R. 431-17 and meet the health requirements for admission to reside in France by producing a medical certificate issued under the conditions laid down by joint order of the Ministry of Health and the Minister of Immigration.
The application is examined in accordance with article R. 431-17 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure.
The application is examined in accordance with article R. 433-1 and, depending on the case, in accordance with the specific conditions defined in Title II. Once this period has elapsed, the provisions of article R. 431-8 shall apply.
The following are not subject to the obligation to submit an application.
Foreign nationals already admitted to reside in France and foreign nationals mentioned in articles L. 312-4, L. 421-9 to L. 421-11, L. 421-13 to L. 421-21, L. 421-22 to L. 421-24, L. 421-26 to L. 421-29, L. 421-30 to L. 421-33, L. 422-1, L. 422-2, L. 422-4, L. 422-5, L. 422-6, L. 422-10 to L. 422-14, L. 423-7, L. 423-8, L. 423-21, L. 423-22, L. 423-23, articles L. 424-9 and L. 424-11 with the exception of those referred to in articles L. 561-2 to L. 561-5, articles L. 424-18 and L. 424-19 with the exception of those referred to in article L. 582-5, articles L. 425-1, L. 425-3, L. 425-4, L. 425-6, L. 425-7, L. 425-9, L. 426-3, L. 426-22, L. 426-23, L. 435-1, L. 435-2 and L. 435-3.
