Depending on the sector of activity in which they practise, including within the framework of care networks, and according to the health needs identified, nurses propose, organise or participate in actions in the following areas:
1° Initial and continuing training of nursing staff, assistants and, where appropriate, other healthcare staff;
2° Supervision of trainees;
3° Training, education, prevention and screening, particularly in the field of primary and community healthcare;
4° Screening, prevention and education in hygiene, individual and collective health and safety;
5° Screening for sexually transmitted diseases, occupational diseases, endemic diseases and addictive practices;
6° Education in sexuality;
7° Participation in public health initiatives;
8° Research in the field of nursing care and participation in multidisciplinary research initiatives.
It also participates in emergency, disaster medicine and humanitarian aid actions, as well as any coordinated action by the health and social professions leading to comprehensive care for individuals.
