Article R4314-9 of the French Labour Code

Requests for documents and information as provided for in article R. 4314-8 must state the reasons for the request.

The time limit set for the economic operator to respond to a request for the technical file or documentation takes account of the time needed to make the file or documentation available.

The technical file or documentation may be requested for ten years after the date of the last manufacture.

Le délai fixé à l’opérateur économique pour répondre à une demande de communication du dossier ou de la documentation technique tient compte du temps nécessaire pour rendre ce dossier ou cette documentation disponible.

Le dossier ou la documentation technique peut être demandé pendant dix ans après la date de la dernière fabrication.
