Article R4321-5 of the French Public Health Code

On medical prescription, the masseur-physiotherapist is authorised to take part in the following re-education treatments:

1° Re-education involving a system or appliance:

a) Orthopaedic re-education ;

b) Neurological rehabilitation ;

c) Re-education for traumatic or non-traumatic conditions of the musculoskeletal system ;

d) Respiratory rehabilitation ;

e) Cardiovascular rehabilitation, subject to the provisions of article R. 4321-8 ;

f) Re-education of vascular and lymphatic trophic disorders;

2° Re-education concerning after-effects :

a) Re-education of amputees, with or without braces ;

b) Abdominal re-education, including post-partum re-education as of the postnatal examination;

c) Perineo-sphincter rehabilitation in the urological, gynaecological and proctological fields, including post-partum from the ninetieth day after childbirth;

d) Rehabilitation of burn victims;

e) Skin rehabilitation;

3° Re-education of a specific function:

a) Re-education of facial mobility and mastication ;

b) Re-education of swallowing ;

c) Re-education of balance disorders.

Article R4321-5

Sur prescription médicale, le masseur-kinésithérapeute est habilité à participer aux traitements de rééducation suivants :

1° Rééducation concernant un système ou un appareil :

a) Rééducation orthopédique ;

b) Rééducation neurologique ;

c) Rééducation des affections traumatiques ou non de l’appareil locomoteur ;

d) Rééducation respiratoire ;

e) Rééducation cardio-vasculaire, sous réserve des dispositions de l’article R. 4321-8 ;

f) Rééducation des troubles trophiques vasculaires et lymphatiques ;

2° Rééducation concernant des séquelles :

a) Rééducation de l’amputé, appareillé ou non ;

b) Rééducation abdominale, y compris du post-partum à compter de l’examen postnatal ;

c) Rééducation périnéo-sphinctérienne dans les domaines urologique, gynécologique et proctologique, y compris du post-partum à compter du quatre-vingt-dixième jour après l’accouchement ;

d) Rééducation des brûlés ;

e) Rééducation cutanée ;

3° Rééducation d’une fonction particulière :

a) Rééducation de la mobilité faciale et de la mastication ;

b) Rééducation de la déglutition ;

c) Rééducation des troubles de l’équilibre.
