Article R4322-48 of the French Public Health Code

The chiropodist is prohibited from:

1° prematurely disclosing to health professionals with a view to immediate application a new and insufficiently tested treatment procedure if he has not taken care to warn them of the possible dangers it may entail;

2° Disclosing the same procedure to a non-professional audience when its efficacy and safety have not been demonstrated;

3° Misleading the good faith of practitioners or customers by presenting to them as beneficial and harmless a procedure that has not been sufficiently tested.

Il est interdit au pédicure-podologue :

1° De divulguer prématurément auprès des professionnels de santé en vue d’une application immédiate un procédé de traitement nouveau et insuffisamment éprouvé s’il n’a pas pris le soin de les mettre en garde contre les dangers éventuels qu’il pourrait comporter ;

2° De divulguer ce même procédé auprès d’un public non professionnel quand son efficacité et son innocuité ne sont pas démontrées ;

3° De tromper la bonne foi des praticiens ou de la clientèle en leur présentant comme salutaire et sans danger un procédé insuffisamment éprouvé.
