Article R4342-8 of the French Public Health Code

Depending on the sectors of activity in which they practise and the needs encountered, orthoptists take part, within the framework of the acts provided for in articles R. 4342-1 to R. 4342-7, in various educational, preventive, screening, training, research and supervisory activities.

These actions concern in particular :

1° Initial and continuing training of orthoptists ;

2° Contributing to the training of other professionals;

3° Collaboration, in particular with other members of the health and social professions, to enable coordinated action to be taken, particularly in the field of prevention;

4° Developing research in the field of orthoptics.

Article R4342-8

Selon les secteurs d’activité où il exerce et les besoins rencontrés, l’orthoptiste participe, dans le cadre des actes prévus aux articles R. 4342-1 à R. 4342-7, à différentes actions d’éducation, de prévention, de dépistage, de formation, de recherche et d’encadrement.

Ces actions concernent en particulier :

1° La formation initiale et continue des orthoptistes ;

2° La contribution à la formation d’autres professionnels ;

3° La collaboration, en particulier avec les autres membres des professions sanitaires et sociales, permettant de réaliser des interventions coordonnées, notamment en matière de prévention ;

4° Le développement de la recherche dans le domaine de l’orthoptie.
