Article R4451-103 of the French Labour Code

Each worker involved in a radiological emergency situation assigned to the second group:

1° Receives information adapted to the radiological emergency situation that has arisen and to the conditions of the intervention;

2° Benefits from personal protective equipment adapted to the nature of the intervention in a radiological emergency situation;

3° Have their exposure to ionising radiation assessed by means of individual dosimetric monitoring such as that provided for in Article R. 4451-65 or, where the nature of the emergency does not allow this, by any other appropriate method established by the employer with the support of the Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire.

Chaque travailleur intervenant en situation d’urgence radiologique affecté au second groupe :


1° Reçoit une information adaptée à la situation d’urgence radiologique survenue et aux conditions d’intervention ;


2° Bénéficie des moyens de protection individuelle adaptés à la nature de l’intervention en situation d’urgence radiologique ;


3° Fait l’objet d’une évaluation de son exposition aux rayonnements ionisants, réalisée au moyen d’une surveillance dosimétrique individuelle telle que celle prévue à l’article R. 4451-65 ou lorsque le caractère de la situation d’urgence ne le permet pas, selon toute autre méthode appropriée établie par l’employeur avec l’appui de l’Institut de radioprotection et de sûreté nucléaire.
