Article R4451-92 of the French Labour Code

The application for authorisation must include :

1° The name and registered office of the company and the address of the establishment;

2° The name and address of the occupational health and safety department to which it reports;

3° The name and position of the radiation protection advisor;

4° The result of the assessment of the risks of exposure to ionising radiation;

5° The circumstances justifying this request, in particular the demonstration that there is no possible alternative to exceeding the exposure limit values;

6° The protective measures and means envisaged;

7° The list of workstations and workers concerned;

8° Where applicable, the special measures taken in the context of work carried out by an external company;

9° The opinion of the occupational physician and the opinion of the social and economic committee.

The employer informs, as appropriate, the Nuclear Safety Authority or the delegate for nuclear safety and radiation protection for defence-related installations and activities.

La demande d’autorisation comprend :

1° La dénomination et le siège social de l’entreprise et l’adresse de l’établissement ;

2° Le nom et l’adresse du service de prévention et de santé au travail dont il relève ;

3° Le nom et la qualité du conseiller en radioprotection ;

4° Le résultat de l’évaluation des risques d’exposition aux rayonnements ionisants ;

5° Les circonstances qui justifient cette demande, notamment la démonstration de l’absence d’alternative possible au dépassement des valeurs limites d’exposition ;

6° Les mesures et moyens de protection envisagés ;

7° La liste des postes de travail et des travailleurs concernés ;

8° Le cas échéant, les dispositions particulières prises dans le cadre de travaux réalisés par une entreprise extérieure ;

9° L’avis du médecin du travail et l’avis du comité social et économique.

L’employeur en informe, selon le cas, l’Autorité de sûreté nucléaire ou le délégué à la sûreté nucléaire et à la radioprotection pour les installations et activités intéressant la défense.
