Article R4461-23 of the French Labour Code

The employer shall ensure, by carrying out an analysis or having an analysis carried out, and before their use, that :

1° that breathing gases supplied by compressors comply with the occupational exposure limit values laid down in this sub-section;

2° that the oxygen content of mixtures other than air complies with the occupational exposure limit values laid down in this sub-section;

3° where binary or ternary mixtures are used, that the nitrogen and, where appropriate, helium content complies.

Article R4461-23

L’employeur s’assure, en procédant ou en faisant procéder, par analyse, et avant leur utilisation, de :

1° La conformité des gaz respiratoires, fournis par des compresseurs, aux valeurs limites d’exposition professionnelle fixées par la présente sous-section ;

2° La conformité de la teneur en oxygène des mélanges autres que l’air aux valeurs limites d’exposition professionnelle fixées par la présente sous-section ;

3° En cas d’utilisation de mélanges binaires ou ternaires, la conformité de la teneur en azote et, le cas échéant, en hélium.
