Article R4511-1 of the French Labour Code

The provisions of this Title apply to the manager of the user undertaking and to the manager of the external undertaking when an external undertaking brings in workers to carry out or participate in the carrying out of an operation, whatever its nature, in an establishment of a user undertaking, including its outbuildings or worksites.

Les dispositions du présent titre s’appliquent au chef de l’entreprise utilisatrice et au chef de l’entreprise extérieure lorsqu’une entreprise extérieure fait intervenir des travailleurs pour exécuter ou participer à l’exécution d’une opération, quelle que soit sa nature, dans un établissement d’une entreprise utilisatrice, y compris dans ses dépendances ou chantiers.
