Article R49-42 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The public prosecutor, the investigating judge and the officers or agents of the judicial police mentioned in articles 60-1,77-1-1 and 99-3 keep registers enabling the traceability of requests received from foreign counterpart authorities and Europol and relating to the communication of information emanating from the service mentioned in Article L. 561-23 of the Monetary and Financial Code or declarations mentioned in the article 1649 A du code général des impôts.

The registers are kept for five years after their creation.

Le procureur de la République, le juge d’instruction et les officiers ou agents de police judiciaire mentionnés aux articles 60-1,77-1-1 et 99-3 tiennent des registres permettant d’assurer la traçabilité des demandes reçues des autorités homologues étrangères et d’Europol et portant sur la communication d’informations émanant du service mentionné à l’article L. 561-23 du code monétaire et financier ou de déclarations mentionnées à l’article 1649 A du code général des impôts.


Les registres sont conservés pendant cinq ans après leur création.
