Article R50-14 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The claimant and the guarantee fund may inspect the file at the commission’s secretariat and submit any observations they consider useful in examining the claim for compensation.

The claimant and the guarantee fund may have copies of the documents in the file issued by the secretariat at their own expense. In the case of reports of the offence or documents from criminal proceedings, the issue or sending of copies is subject to the authorisation of the public prosecutor.

Le demandeur ainsi que le fond de garantie peuvent prendre connaissance du dossier au secrétariat de la commission et adresser toutes observations qu’ils estiment utiles à l’instruction de la demande d’indemnité.

Le requérant et le fonds de garantie peuvent se faire délivrer, à leurs frais, par le secrétariat, copie des pièces du dossier. S’il s’agit de procès-verbaux constatant l’infraction ou de pièces de la procédure pénale, la délivrance ou l’envoi des copies est subordonné à l’autorisation du ministère public.
