Article R50-17 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The secretary of the commission convenes the claimant and the guarantee fund at least two months in advance to the hearing that has been set. This summons is sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the claimant and by simple letter to the guarantee fund.

The parties are informed in the summons that their observations must be sent to the commission no later than fifteen days before the date of the hearing, but that they may consult the file at the secretariat until the day of the hearing.

The secretary of the commission must inform the claimant and the guarantee fund of the date of the hearing.

Le secrétaire de la commission convoque au moins deux mois à l’avance le demandeur et le fonds de garantie à l’audience qui a été fixée. Cette convocation est faite par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception au demandeur et par lettre simple au fonds de garantie.

Les parties sont informées dans la convocation que leurs observations doivent être adressées à la commission au plus tard quinze jours avant la date de l’audience mais qu’elles peuvent consulter le dossier au secrétariat jusqu’au jour de celle-ci.
