Article R50-67 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

For decisions handed down by the appeal courts or, where applicable, by the assize courts, the powers recognised in this chapter to the investigating judge or his clerk are exercised by the president of the investigating chamber or the clerk of that chamber.

Those granted to the public prosecutor are exercised by the public prosecutor, the magistrates of the public prosecutor’s office and any official of the public prosecutor’s office authorised by the public prosecutor.

Pour les décisions rendues par les cours d’appel ou, le cas échéant, par les cours d’assises, les pouvoirs reconnus au présent chapitre au juge d’instruction ou à son greffier sont exercés par le président de la chambre de l’instruction ou le greffier de cette chambre.


Ceux reconnus au procureur de la République le sont par le procureur général, les magistrats du parquet général et tout fonctionnaire du parquet général habilité par le procureur général.
