Article R5127-21 of the French Public Health Code

If the presumption of an offence is based on the laboratory analysis, the public prosecutor will inform the alleged perpetrator of the fraud or falsification that he or she may obtain the laboratory report and that he or she has three clear days in which to present his or her observations and to state whether or not he or she is requesting an expert opinion.

Dans le cas où la présomption d’infraction résulte de l’analyse faite au laboratoire, l’auteur présumé de la fraude ou de la falsification est avisé par le procureur de la République qu’il peut prendre communication du rapport du laboratoire et qu’un délai de trois jours francs lui est imparti pour présenter ses observations et pour faire connaître s’il réclame une expertise contradictoire.
