Article R513-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code

Inadmissible, rejected, lapsed, non-extended deposits, as well as those whose protection has expired, may be returned to their owner, at the owner’s request and expense.

If they have not been claimed, they may be destroyed by the National Institute of Industrial Property after a period of one year for ineligible, rejected or forfeited deposits, or ten years for deposits that have not been extended or whose protection has expired.

Les dépôts irrecevables, rejetés, déchus, non prorogés, de même que ceux dont la protection est expirée, peuvent être restitués à leur propriétaire, sur sa demande et à ses frais.

S’ils n’ont pas été réclamés, ils peuvent être détruits par l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle au terme d’un délai d’un an pour les dépôts irrecevables, rejetés ou déchus, ou de dix ans pour les dépôts non prorogés ou dont la protection est expirée.
