Article R5139-22 of the French Public Health Code

It is forbidden to mark containers or packaging containing micro-organisms or toxins and products containing them as non-toxic, non-harmful or any other similar indications.

Without prejudice to the regulations concerning the transport of dangerous goods, containers or packaging containing micro-organisms or toxins and products containing them, used for their import, export or transport, must be labelled in accordance with the rules of good practice mentioned in article R. 5139-18.

Article R5139-22

Il est interdit de faire figurer sur les contenants ou emballages de micro-organismes ou toxines et des produits en contenant les indications non toxique, non nocif ou toutes autres indications analogues.

Sans préjudice de la réglementation concernant le transport des matières dangereuses, les récipients ou emballages renfermant des micro-organismes ou toxines et les produits en contenant, servant à leur importation, à leur exportation ou à leur transport sont revêtus d’un étiquetage conforme aux règles de bonnes pratiques mentionnées à l’article R. 5139-18.
