The authorisation may be modified, suspended for a maximum period of one year or withdrawn by the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail where it appears :
1° That there is one or more immunological veterinary medicinal products with a marketing authorisation for the species in question containing one or more of the pathogens listed on the authorisation to prepare autovaccines for veterinary use ;
2° That the self-vaccines prepared or the pathogenic organisms used in the preparation are likely to present a serious risk to human health, animal health or the environment;
3° That the conditions of conservation of strains, preparation, monitoring and, where applicable, transport of auto-vaccines for veterinary use do not comply with the conditions declared in the application which gave rise to the authorisation provided for in article R. 5141-130 or modified under the conditions set out in article R. 5141-131.
Except in an emergency, these decisions to modify, suspend or withdraw may only be taken after the authorisation holder has been given the opportunity to present his observations within a specified period.
The decision may be appealed only after an informal appeal has been lodged with the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail.
Independently of the aforementioned suspension or withdrawal decisions, the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail may, as a precautionary measure, ask the person holding the authorisation to recall certain batches.
