Article R5141-141 of the French Public Health Code

Within the meaning of article L. 5141-2, the veterinarian may only prescribe an auto-vaccine for veterinary use under the conditions of 4° of article L. 5143-4, prepared from a pathogen which he himself has collected.

The holder of the authorisation provided for in article L. 5141-12 may only sell an auto-vaccine for veterinary use to the prescribing veterinarian or to any other veterinarian who has declared, at the time of registration with the Order, the same professional domicile, as defined in article R. 242-52 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code.

An auto-vaccine for veterinary use can only be administered to animals reared in the area where the pathogen was collected.

Article R5141-141

Au sens de l’article L. 5141-2, le vétérinaire ne peut prescrire un autovaccin à usage vétérinaire que dans les conditions du 4° de l’article L. 5143-4, préparé à partir d’un agent pathogène dont il aura lui-même assuré le prélèvement.

Le titulaire de l’autorisation prévue à l’article L. 5141-12 ne peut céder un autovaccin à usage vétérinaire qu’au vétérinaire prescripteur ou à tout autre vétérinaire ayant déclaré, lors de son inscription à l’ordre, le même domicile professionnel, tel que défini à l’article R. 242-52 du code rural et de la pêche maritime.

Un autovaccin à usage vétérinaire ne peut être administré qu’aux animaux élevés sur le lieu où a été prélevé l’agent pathogène.
