Each sample consists of two samples. One sample is sent to the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail (French National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety), while the other is kept by the establishment holding the stock for possible analysis by both parties.
Samples are taken so that they are as identical as possible.
Each sample contains the minimum quantity, in terms of constituents of the veterinary medicinal product or units of finished product, which it will be necessary to take in order to carry out useful post-marketing authorisation controls prescribed by the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail. It is enclosed in a sealed bag and labelled with the name of the medicinal product or constituent sampled, the batch number, the name and address of the stockholder, the date of sampling and the name and position of the agent.
These samples do not give rise to any payment by the State or the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail.
