Article R5142-12 of the French Public Health Code

If, within a period of two years following notification of the authorisations provided for in articles R. 5142-8 to R. 5142-10, the establishment is not operating, these authorisations lapse. However, if justification is provided before the expiry of this period, it may be extended by the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail.

Article R5142-12

Si, dans le délai de deux ans qui suit la notification des autorisations prévues aux articles R. 5142-8 à R. 5142-10, l’établissement ne fonctionne pas, ces autorisations deviennent caduques. Toutefois, sur justification produite avant l’expiration de ce délai, celui-ci peut être prorogé par le directeur général de l’Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail.
