Article R5142-26 of the French Public Health Code

Where the undertaking is operated by a company, the competent corporate body of that undertaking shall appoint, at the same time as the pharmacist or veterinary surgeon in charge and in order to replace them, if necessary, one or more interim pharmacists or veterinary surgeons in charge.

The acting pharmacist or veterinary surgeon in charge shall be granted, for the periods of replacement, the same powers and duties as those granted to the pharmacist or veterinary surgeon in charge and shall effectively exercise them for the duration of the replacement.

If the acting pharmacist or veterinary surgeon in charge is a company pharmacist or veterinary surgeon in charge, an acting pharmacist or veterinary surgeon in charge is appointed at the same time by the pharmacist or veterinary surgeon in charge.

Lorsque l’entreprise est exploitée par une société, l’organe social compétent de cette entreprise désigne, en même temps que le pharmacien ou vétérinaire responsable et pour assurer, le cas échéant, leur remplacement, un ou plusieurs pharmaciens ou vétérinaires responsables intérimaires.

Le pharmacien ou vétérinaire responsable intérimaire se voit conférer, pour les périodes de remplacement, les mêmes pouvoirs et attributions que ceux conférés au pharmacien ou vétérinaire responsable et les exerce effectivement pendant la durée du remplacement.

Si le pharmacien ou vétérinaire responsable intérimaire est un pharmacien ou vétérinaire délégué de l’entreprise, un pharmacien ou vétérinaire délégué intérimaire est désigné en même temps par le pharmacien ou vétérinaire responsable.
