Article R5211-15 of the French Public Health Code

The affixing of marks or inscriptions on a medical device, on its packaging or on the instructions for use which are likely to mislead as to the meaning or form of the CE marking is prohibited. Any other mark may be affixed, provided that it does not reduce the visibility or legibility of the CE marking.

Il est interdit d’apposer sur un dispositif médical, sur l’emballage ou sur les instructions d’utilisation des marques ou des inscriptions de nature à induire en erreur sur la signification ou le graphisme du marquage CE. Toute autre marque peut être apposée, à condition qu’elle ne réduise pas la visibilité ni la lisibilité du marquage CE.
