Where the conformity certification procedure applied by a manufacturer involves the intervention of an authorized body, the manufacturer may apply to the body of his choice within the framework of the tasks for which that body has been authorized.

Each procedure relating to a medical device may be the subject of an application to only one approved body.

Lorsque la procédure de certification de conformité appliquée par un fabricant comporte l’intervention d’un organisme habilité, le fabricant peut s’adresser à l’organisme de son choix dans le cadre des tâches pour lesquelles cet organisme a été habilité.

Chaque procédure liée à un dispositif médical ne peut faire l’objet d’une demande qu’auprès d’un seul organisme habilité.
