Article R5221-7 of the French Labour Code

By way of derogation from article R. 5221-6, foreign students holding the residence permit referred to in 11° of article R. 5221-2 may enter into :

1° A professionalisation contract as referred to in article L. 6325-1, at the end of the first year of residence ;

2° An apprenticeship contract as referred to in Article L. 6221-1, at the end of the first year of residence, or from the first year of residence if they can prove that they are enrolled in a course of study leading to a degree conferring the grade of Master or appearing on the list provided for in 1° of Article D. 421-6 and the 1° of article D. 422-13 of the Code de l’entrée et du séjour des étrangers et du droit d’asile.

Article R5221-7

Par dérogation à l’article R. 5221-6, l’étudiant étranger, titulaire du titre de séjour mentionné au 11° de l’article R. 5221-2, peut conclure :

1° Un contrat de professionnalisation mentionné à l’article L. 6325-1, à l’issue d’une première année de séjour ;

2° Un contrat d’apprentissage mentionné à l’article L. 6221-1, à l’issue d’une première année de séjour, ou dès la première année de séjour s’il justifie d’une inscription dans un cursus de formation sanctionné par un diplôme conférant le grade de master ou figurant sur la liste prévue au 1° de l’article D. 421-6 et au 1° de l’article D. 422-13 du code de l’entrée et du séjour des étrangers et du droit d’asile.
