The national automated DNA fingerprint database is placed under the control of a senior prosecutor, appointed for three years by order of the Minister of Justice, and assisted by a committee comprising a magistrate and two qualified persons, designated for their expertise in the field of genetics or information technology, appointed under the same conditions.

Le fichier national automatisé des empreintes génétiques est placé sous le contrôle d’un magistrat du parquet hors hiérarchie, nommé pour trois ans par arrêté du garde des sceaux, ministre de la justice, et assisté par un comité comprenant un magistrat et deux personnalités qualifiées, désignées en raison de leurs compétences dans le domaine de la génétique ou de l’informatique, nommés dans les mêmes conditions.
