Article R531-21 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons shall inform the competent Prefect and the Director General of the French Office for Immigration and Integration of the meaning of its decision or, in the event of an appeal, that of the National Court of Asylum. At the request of the competent Prefect, a copy of the decision and the acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to him/her.

Article R531-21

L’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides fait connaître le sens de sa décision ou, en cas de recours, de celle de la Cour nationale du droit d’asile au préfet compétent, ainsi qu’au directeur général de l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration. Il communique au préfet compétent, à sa demande, une copie de la décision et de l’avis de réception.
