When the chairman of the bench decides to order a supplemental investigation, the parties are invited to submit a brief or additional documents for the sole purpose of this supplemental investigation. The same bench shall deliberate on the expiry of the time period given to the parties to produce these documents or, where applicable, to reply to them. This period may not exceed one month from the date of the hearing.
The parties are only summoned to a new hearing if the president of the panel of judges deems it necessary to hear them present oral observations on the only new elements that have been produced.
