Article R5322-3 of the French Public Health Code

The Chairman of the Board of Directors is appointed for a term of three years, renewable once. The age limit for the Chairman is sixty-seven. The duties of Chairman of the Board of Directors are incompatible with those of Chief Executive Officer of the Agency.

The Board of Directors elects from among its members a Vice-Chairman chosen from among the members mentioned in 3°, 5° or 6° of article R. 5322-1, who exercises all the prerogatives of the Chairman in the event of the latter’s absence or incapacity.

Article R5322-3

Le président du conseil d’administration est nommé pour une durée de trois ans, renouvelable une fois. La limite d’âge du président est fixée à soixante-sept ans. Les fonctions de président du conseil d’administration sont incompatibles avec celles de directeur général de l’agence.

Le conseil d’administration élit en son sein un vice-président choisi parmi les membres mentionnés aux 3°, 5° ou 6° de l’article R. 5322-1, qui exerce toutes les prérogatives du président en cas d’absence ou d’empêchement de ce dernier.
