For the application of III of Article L. 561-5, the persons mentioned in 2° to 2°e and 3°a of Article L. 561-2 shall identify and verify the identity of the beneficiaries of life insurance or capitalisation contracts and, where applicable, their beneficial owners, where the annual premium exceeds the thresholds set for these contracts in 1° of Article R. 561-16, under the following conditions:
1° Where the beneficiaries of the contracts are persons or legal entities designated by name, they shall record their surname and forenames or name;
2° Where the beneficiaries of the contracts are designated by their characteristics, by category or by other means, they shall obtain information on these beneficiaries enabling their identity and, where applicable, that of their beneficial owner to be established when the benefits are paid;
3° In the cases provided for in 1° and 2°, they shall verify the identity of the beneficiaries of the contracts and, where applicable, of their beneficial owner at the time of payment of the benefits on presentation of any documentary evidence in accordance with the procedures provided for respectively in articles R. 561-5-1 and R. 561-7 respectively.
The beneficial owners of the beneficiaries of life insurance or capitalisation contracts are determined in accordance with the procedures set out in articles R. 561-1 to R. 561-3-1.
