Article R611-20 of the French Intellectual Property Code

From the day on which a person has furnished proof that he has brought an action, the proprietor of the patent application or patent may not withdraw the application or renounce the patent in its entirety or one or more of the claims therein, except with the written consent of the person who has brought the action to claim ownership.

A compter du jour où une personne a apporté la justification qu’elle a intenté une action, le titulaire de la demande de brevet ou du brevet ne peut retirer la demande ou renoncer au brevet en totalité ou à l’une ou plusieurs des revendications qu’il comporte, sauf sur le consentement écrit de la personne qui a intenté l’action en revendication de propriété.
