Article R6111-57 of the French Public Health Code

Upon medical assessment of the need to derogate from the maximum periods of non-medical accommodation provided for in article R. 6111-56, the limitations provided for in this article are not applicable to pregnant women residing in French Guyana, as long as they have a continuous and main residence in French Guyana of more than six months on the date of delivery, located more than forty-five minutes from a gynaecology and obstetrics unit adapted to their health situation.

The order referred to in article R. 6111-55 specifies, where necessary, the conditions specific to the situation in French Guyana.

Sur appréciation médicale de la nécessité de déroger aux durées maximales d’hébergement non médicalisé prévues par l’article R. 6111-56, les limitations prévues à cet article ne sont pas opposables aux femmes enceintes résidant en Guyane, dès lors qu’elles disposent d’une résidence continue et principale en Guyane de plus de six mois à la date de l’accouchement, située à plus de quarante-cinq minutes d’une unité de gynécologie obstétrique adaptée à leur situation de santé.


L’arrêté mentionné à l’article R. 6111-55 précise en tant que de besoin les conditions particulières à la situation en Guyane.
