The opposition request shall be submitted in writing in accordance with the conditions and procedures specified by decision of the Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property.
It shall include:
1° the identity of the opposing party;
2° The references of the patent against which the opposition has been filed;
3° A statement specifying the scope of the opposition, the grounds on which it is based, the facts relied upon and the documents produced in support of these grounds;
4° Proof of payment of the fee due;

5° Where applicable, the name of the representative and, unless he is an industrial property attorney or a lawyer, his power of attorney.
The documents and information mentioned in 1° to 5° must be provided within the time limit mentioned in Article R. 613-44. The basis and scope of the objection may not be extended after the expiry of this time limit.
The objection is entered in the Register.
The opposition is entered in the National Patent Register.
