The opposition procedure is closed:
1° When all opponents have withdrawn their opposition;
2° If the patent has been declared invalid by a final and binding court decision;

3° If the proprietor of the patent renounces the claims to which the opposition relates;
4° When the effects of the patent against which the opposition was filed have ceased, unless the opponent can show a legitimate interest in obtaining a decision on the opposition.
The National Institute of Industrial Property will notify the parties of the decision to terminate the opposition proceedings without delay.
The closure of the opposition procedure is recorded in the National Patent Register.
