Article R6153-15 of the French Public Health Code

A resident recognised by the medical committee as suffering from tuberculosis, mental illness, poliomyelitis, a cancerous condition or a severe and acquired immune deficiency is entitled to a maximum of thirty-six months’ leave during which he is guaranteed, for the first eighteen months, the payment of two thirds of the remuneration mentioned in article R. 6153-10 and in 1° and 3° of article D. 6153-10-1 and, for the following eighteen months, the payment of half of this remuneration.

L’interne que le comité médical a reconnu atteint de tuberculose, de maladie mentale, de poliomyélite, d’une affection cancéreuse ou de déficit immunitaire grave et acquis a droit à un congé de trente-six mois au maximum pendant lequel lui est garanti, au cours des dix-huit premiers mois, le versement des deux tiers de la rémunération mentionnée à l’article R. 6153-10 et aux 1° et 3° de l’article D. 6153-10-1 et, pendant les dix-huit mois suivants, le versement de la moitié de cette rémunération.
